Handel’s Oratorio – Israel in Egypt – by MMA Choir
For the first time in Chennai, a choir and an orchestra join together to render justice to Handel’s 270 year
old epic from the Bible – Israel in Egypt. The Madras Musical Association and Madras Chamber Orchestra
will present this ambitious project directed by Augustine Paul. The concert will have 75 people split into two
choirs and 22-piece orchestra.

1. Sri Krishna North-Indian Veg Restaurant
The place is run by A.R. Sharma and wife Santhosh Devi for a decade now. The restaurant is tiny and looks makeshift (PVC roof and chairs, half walls, et al); it can seat 20 at a time. The food here is basic — dal, roti, subzi and rice. With minimum masalas the food is kept simple. A meal comes at Rs. 40. The menu comprises not more than six items — thali, mini lunch, aloo paratha, chapathi, lassi and curd rice. Open six days a week (closed on Sundays and Government holidays). Parathas are available from 10.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. For thalis and chapatis, the timings are between noon and 3.30 p.m. and between 6.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. Good, wholesome, hygienically prepared food is what you get here. Ramaswamy Road, this juice stall enjoys wide clientele, with bikes and cars stopping by till close to midnight, and about 15 people work here to prepare and serve the 25 varieties of fruit juices and milkshakes available, ranging from watermelon, papaya, grape and pomegranate to butterfruit and rosemilk. Day 01 - Delhi – Agra (204 Kms/4hrs)
Upon arrival in Delhi, pick up from the airport/railway station and transfer to Agra. Check in at Hotel. Later proceed to the Taj Mahal to see the architectural modern day wonder of the world -The incomparable Taj Mahal. This monument is a fine example of the fusion of many architectural styles, built in 1652 by emperor Shah Jahan. Also visit Agra Fort. Go back to your hotel for the night.
Day 02 - Agra – Jaipur via Fathehpur Sikri(250kms/5hrs)
Breakfast at hotel. Later drive to Jaipur. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri - built in red sandstone in honour of saint Salim Chisti who foretold the birth of 3 sons to emperor Akbar. The marvelous structure is an example of robust stability combined with originality. Notable among the places visited are the Diwane Khas, Punch Mahal, the Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza. After the visit, continue drive to Jaipur. On arrival, check into hotel. Day 03 Jaipur –Ajmer (135kms/3 hrs).
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Ajmer. Visit government museum (Daulat Khana). The royal palace of Akbar was converted into a museum and today it houses a rich collection of Mughal and Rajput armoury. The Rajputana Museum as it is significantly named, has in its galleries important exhibits from almost all the princely states. Some of the fine and delicate sculptures of the region have been displayed here. The building itself has been constructed of red sandstone which have been laid down in a square pattern, giving it a fabulous look. Visit Dargah of Garib Nawaj (Dargah Sharif) along the way. The Dargah of Khwaja Moin-ud -din Chishti is located at the foot of a small and barren hill in Ajmer, whose blessings are eagerly sought by pilgrims to his dargah. The saint’s marble domed mausoleum is India’s most important shrine for Muslims and receives an endless flow of visitors of all religions as the sick, the troubled and the childless come here seeking a boon, a blessing or just peace of mind.
Adhai-din-ka-Jhonpra is another important place to visit. This monument is the finest example of Indo- Islamic architecture. Taragarh Fort which is the next place to see, was the first hill fort of India built in the 7th century by Ajaipal Chauhan. The fort gives excellent views of the town below and it is also known as star front. The forts give birds eye view of the city. Ana Sagar Lake was built by King Anaji the grandfather of Prithvi Raj Chauhan at a picturesque site located to the north of Ajmer. The 'Baradari', a marble pavilion was built by Shah Jahan and the Daulat Bagh Gardens were laid by Jehangir. This lake is located towards the north of Ajmer city. Day 04 - Jaipur
After breakfast visit Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan, this picturesque city is a symphony in pink, a colour that symbolizes hospitality in Rajput culture. Morning excursion to Amber Fort - one of the finest example of Rajput architecture, situated on a hillside and overlooking a lake which reflects the fort's ramparts and terraces. Handel’s Oratorio – Israel in Egypt – by MMA Choir
For the first time in Chennai, a choir and an orchestra join together to render justice to Handel’s 270 year

The food here is basic — dal, roti, subzi and rice. With minimum masalas the food is kept simple. A meal comes at Rs. 40. The menu comprises not more than six items — thali, mini lunch, aloo paratha, chapathi, lassi and curd rice. Open six days a week (closed on Sundays and Government holidays). Parathas are available from 10.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. For thalis and chapatis, the timings are between noon and 3.30 p.m. and between 6.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. Good, wholesome, hygienically prepared food is what you get here. Ramaswamy Road, this juice stall enjoys wide clientele, with bikes and cars stopping by till close to midnight, and about 15 people work here to prepare and serve the 25 varieties of fruit juices and milkshakes available, ranging from watermelon, papaya, grape and pomegranate to butterfruit and rosemilk. Agra – Jaipur – Ajmer – Delhi Package

Day 01 - Delhi – Agra (204 Kms/4hrs)
Upon arrival in Delhi, pick up from the airport/railway station and transfer to Agra. Check in at Hotel. Later proceed to the Taj Mahal to see the architectural modern day wonder of the world -The incomparable Taj Mahal. This monument is a fine example of the fusion of many architectural styles, built in 1652 by emperor Shah Jahan. Also visit Agra Fort. Go back to your hotel for the night.
Day 02 - Agra – Jaipur via Fathehpur Sikri(250kms/5hrs)
Breakfast at hotel. Later drive to Jaipur. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri - built in red sandstone in honour of saint Salim Chisti who foretold the birth of 3 sons to emperor Akbar. The marvelous structure is an example of robust stability combined with originality. Notable among the places visited are the Diwane Khas, Punch Mahal, the Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza. After the visit, continue drive to Jaipur. On arrival, check into hotel. Overnight, stay at hotel.
Day 03 Jaipur –Ajmer (135kms/3 hrs).
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Ajmer. Visit government museum (Daulat Khana). The royal palace of Akbar was converted into a museum and today it houses a rich collection of Mughal and Rajput armoury. The Rajputana Museum as it is significantly named, has in its galleries important exhibits from almost all the princely states. Some of the fine and delicate sculptures of the region have been displayed here. The building itself has been constructed of red sandstone which have been laid down in a square pattern, giving it a fabulous look. Visit Dargah of Garib Nawaj (Dargah Sharif) along the way. The Dargah of Khwaja Moin-ud -din Chishti is located at the foot of a small and barren hill in Ajmer, whose blessings are eagerly sought by pilgrims to his dargah. The saint’s marble domed mausoleum is India’s most important shrine for Muslims and receives an endless flow of visitors of all religions as the sick, the troubled and the childless come here seeking a boon, a blessing or just peace of mind.
Adhai-din-ka-Jhonpra is another important place to visit. This monument is the finest example of Indo- Islamic architecture. Taragarh Fort which is the next place to see, was the first hill fort of India built in the 7th century by Ajaipal Chauhan. The fort gives excellent views of the town below and it is also known as star front. The forts give birds eye view of the city. Ana Sagar Lake was built by King Anaji the grandfather of Prithvi Raj Chauhan at a picturesque site located to the north of Ajmer. The 'Baradari', a marble pavilion was built by Shah Jahan and the Daulat Bagh Gardens were laid by Jehangir. This lake is located towards the north of Ajmer city. Day 04 - Jaipur
After breakfast visit Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan, this picturesque city is a symphony in pink, a colour that symbolizes hospitality in Rajput culture. Morning excursion to Amber Fort - one of the finest example of Rajput architecture, situated on a hillside and overlooking a lake which reflects the fort's ramparts and terraces. Make your ascent to the palace fortress on the gaily-caparisoned elephant back. Tour the chamber & hallways of the palace, which are famous for the excellence of their design & decoration. You will then visit the unique Jantar Mantar Observatory, which was built in 1700's. The next place to visit is The City Palace & its museum, which houses a rare combination of the finest blends of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture with a collection of Royal costumes, armoury with arms & old paintings and the Hawa Mahal or the palace of winds.
